Has anyone done the hadrian's way cycle route and is it mainly road/tarmac ? Should i use mtb or road bike ?

fine with a road bike. It's mainly sustrans type trails ie: wide, flat.

Interersted in this 2. I am thinking of doing this. So easy flat ideal for SO who is capable cyclist on road? BB or camping sites and recommended route? Just bought the history book on the wall.
