She's gone biking with mates to Glentress for the weekend, leaving me with 3 kids.
Got to be immoral at best?

The quicker you grasp the cold reality that you are now unexciting and a reminder of how wonderful her life used to be....the quicker we can all move forward.

Have a great day 😉

WORS has got the idea,

I would be on the internets right now booking a flight and chalet while the kids run amok.

You'll just have to get all STW-high-horsey with her about trail centres being "sanitised" and "not real MTBing".

That'll teach her.

Most of the above true.

I consoled myself with the forecast that it was going to be dull and wet this weekend, but it's a perfect spring day in the Lakes.
Time to Dad Up for quality kiddie time.

Bike, Forest, Tagalong... Thats what i do when the mrs has gone off for the day. The kids love the rough stuff and one 5 and one 3, thats a lot of weight so great training too, very satisfying when you overtake riders on their bling carbon too....

It's a perfect morning for riding up here in the Tweed valley 😆

Hammering down here (Chilterns) but that's nothing new.

Play the long game on this one. I raise the Alps suggestion above. A weekend at Glentress = A month riding through Nepal, surely?

Good - I'm chuffed she's got back into it (and the Kona full sus I bought for her is getting used at last!).
They're staying at the Hydro of course - where I'd be dossing down in the van.

Forgot to say - she took me van....... 😐

Hmm, it was nearer a drizzle I would suggest - but then based upon how little rain we've had...

but i bet you've got a jobs list,as i keep getting them.

Funny you should say that - it included:
Coffee morning
Kids party at 2pm
and looking after a friend (of hers) Maltese terrier for the weekend - it's the size of a rabbit, can't get cold or wet and appears to have canine tourettes (not making light/jking about the condition!)

Not actually 'Pumpkin', but very like her/it. Ah well - keeping the girls happy
