[#3019907]

I find myself doing a job in Grizdale forest on Monday, now I thought about taking my bike and using my lunch hour for a blast round.
Is it (A) all open and (B) worth the bother?

I already think the answer to (B) is yes, however any advice is good!!

It's OK - nothing exceptional

From a recent explore around there, I found the trails that drop down to Coniston from the West side of the Forest to be more fun

cheers uplink..

it really is to blast round in my lunchbreak, I doubt I'll be able to go off navigating anywhere and taking to long.
I suspect for a cheeky hour it will be good enough!

looks like I've talked myself into it!

Go straight to Carron Crag and drop back down the steep side. That's your best plan for just 1 hour.

If you've got an hour use the NF trail from the visitor centre to get you up to the singletrack that takes you out of the forest over Parkamoor - worth it for the views alone if it's a decent day. Ride to Low Parkamoor and then left over the hill on the bridleway heading back to the forest - straight on here. A brief bit of bridleway fire road until you reach the start of a cracking descent on a fairly technical bridleway with drops, rocks, singletrack (I went over the bars last time down it when I lost the front and still enjoyed it).

Neninja's route is a winner. Grandad dad and dentist as its called is a Grizedale signature track... pure quality. Dont worry about navigation either... you cant go wrong.

However if all my dinner hours were made up of riding the NFT then I'd be a happy bunny.
