Good luck.

Guess you've already gone, but CYB Minotaur is by far the best route for kids, better than anything at Grizedale. There's also the skills area and some play stuff too.

Well that went well.
Didn't get there till 4pm.
The cafe at Grisedale had its usual shit selection of food. So filled the kids up with lukewarm sausage rolls, packed a weird selection of lights and off we went. The initial zigzgas on TNF trail were hard work as usual but they didn't moan as much as usual. Stopped for lots of Oreos, Fanta, Mini Eggs etc. Pushed them up some of the fireroads. Didn't see a single soul out and about. Wonder why.
The wee one made an excellent effort on the [new?] bouldery balance trail sections and nearly cleaned a couple of them. More stops, more tows, more singletrack.
Then is got dark so we donned various lights and kept going. Mr 9 kept dissapearing into the distance cos he was having so much fun.
Back to the visitor Centre at about half seven. Kids spent another 20 minutes cycling round and round the playground platforms. Gotta make the most of the emptiness. Pub, beer sleep.

Then today we went up and did it again. Except this time we did a detour round the initial singletrack uphill since I didn't want to tire them out.

Had a couple of moans when they discovered there were only 4 sections of singletrack left not 5. But all good.

Was a bit stressful getting out of the way of the 'racers' but not too bad.

Excellent day. Been wanting to do some decent trails with them for a while now. But we've always bee caught out by colds, tiredness or pants weather. Was great to see what they can do when they really get into the zone.

Really looking forward to a trip to CyB again. But doubt we'll be going near the Minortaur (brilliant though it is)

splendid
