without the outer metal locking cap.
I like the diameter and comfort but not the metal cap on the end of the bars. Is there anything similar but wthout this?

Probably not quite the answer you're looking for but I used to use Rouges and tried some thick Deathgrips. Now have them on both bikes and really like them. Might be worth a go as they're pretty cheap compared to some.
Open to suggestions 🙂
ODI Long Necks in 143mm - they're still lock ons but longer than normal so your hand doesn't come into contact with the collar.
Used em for years- if ODI stop making them then I'm stopping riding bikes.

Supercaz gpririrrirripzs. A fraction thinner, but soft and only an inner lockring.

I'm also interested, as I love my rogues (3/4 quite worn sets) but have seen suggestions that the outer lock on can cause hand pain, & I hold my bar outers like bar ends for road/non technical sections (& felt pain after my last ride..psychosomatic?) . I don't actually know the diameter of Rogues (am away from home & it's raining..) but there as big or bigger than the actual lock on fitting.

Not finding obvious fat grips/single lock-on from Oury, chromag, uberbike, eastern,, Raceface, renthal
Have used Rogues and the Lizard skins in the past then moved onto Ergons - don't stick to some of the other suggestions!
