I ordered both a large and a medium size pair of GripGrab Pro Gel. The medium have a fairly typical looking gel padding arrangement but the large looks a bit odd to me.
Medium (photo from their website):

This is size large, and the arrows show that the pad is quite inboard from the outside of the hand, and a straight line meets at the the gap between the ring finger and pinky. Unlike on the medium where it lines up with the the outside of the pinky.

Surely as hand-size scales, the contact positions with the bars would still stay in the same position relatively?

I've contacted Wiggle and say this is normal. Gripgrab are yet to respond.

I've got some large full finger ones at home with the same pad arrangement. I can have a look and see if they are in a similar 'inboard' position, but from memory they aren't; i.e. the pad is further out towards the edge of my hand.

I got them for my birthday & haven't actually worn them yet apart from trying them on; the fingers are a bit long so I was debating whether to swap them for a medium....

Anyway....I'll try to remember to have a look this evening and get back to you....

Looks wrong to me - I've got a pair of mediums that look exactly like the website photo, not your photo. Doesn't make sense that the large would be that different.

I wish I'd looked at the photos a bit more carefully myself before buying, was hoping for some padding under the ball of the thumb, but there isn't any.

Send them back. It's no good not having the padding inboard too far. GripGrab kit is usually good, so it looks like you have an anomaly there.

flicking though images of gripgrab gloves on google seems to show that nearly all of the ulna nerve padding is in the right place, except for what looks like a winter glove tested by road.cc and a german site:
