I've run out of grease and need to give my Shimano pedals a clean out and regrease, but could do with one that will be good for frame bearings, headset, BB etc too. Is there a specific type I should be using or will lithium grease be ok (or not)? Is one brand better than any other and is it a case of being ripped off buying 'bike specific' and not more generic grease? Could do with some type of grease gun too so it doesn't jizz all over the space...any recommendations folks?
Silkolene Pro RG2 for everything. Nice to use, works well and is red.
Others have mentioned Mobil XHP 222 for waterproofing capabilities.
Mobil XHP222 or Maxima waterproof grease.
Park tools mini gun full of starbrite marine bearing grease (£8 for 500ml) 👍
Mobil XHP222 packed into a Dualco grease gun for the stuff you mention.
I'm using a big pot of the Maxima stuff right now, but one advantage to the RG2 silkolene stuff is that it has a "floating piston" with a bleed port in the middle.
That means you can just put the grease gun cartridge over the hole and push down to fill the grease gun. Keeps things much cleaner.

Morris grease

if only because they have Guy Martin as one of their brand ambassadors.
