I want to strip down and clean my bottom bracket, will any old grease do or is it better to go for Copper, teflon, lithium?

Any general purpose grease will do fine

Copper grease isn't a grease in that sense. It has fine copper particles in it which are abrasive. It's great for stopping two static surfaces binding over time, perfect for pedal threads. For moving parts, I use Silkolene RG2 from the motorcycle shop.

What do you reckon to this article?
"Do NOT buy standard car Lithium grease (Castrol LM) as it is not waterproof"
