I remember first seeing this functionality in TrackLogs (BITD). I found a cool free site - trailreplay - where you can upload a GPX, pick a map topology, and then export to MP4. Lots of config options for playing/recording.
I used it to visualise a route we might do this weekend:
Worth a play if you like this kind of thing.

Oh I started using the free one on Komoot, but it's nowhere near as good and the rendering time is like being on a dial up link!

MMFA has a 3D flythrough that is really not very good at all.Â
I can see all my rides (logged on my Suunto 9 Peak pro) on MapBox. I'd be very interested in knowing how to do more with Mapbox tbf.
