Has anyone else been experiencing any GPS glitches today? My usually very solid performing Edge 205 struggled to get a good satellite signal today at kept losing it quite regularly (whilst out in the open) for a second or so before connecting again; the icon on the display that shows '3D' when there's a satellite lock kept blacking out. Just passing my hand over the unit blocked the signal too.

I was rather hoping that the unit's not on its way out (it's only about a year old), knocking or tapping the unit didn't cause the signal to be lost so I was wondering whether the network might be experiencing issues or maybe there were some atmospherics going on.

My 305 was fine all day in the Scottish Borders.

far more likely its your receiver than the network

Far LESS likely its the receiver.

I use GPS in an engineering Survey role most days, and the system goes throuogh cycles of when most satellites are visible - a the moment we are getting low coverage levels around mid morning to late lunch time. So any sort of nearby tree cover or building hiding your sky view will have a greater effect on your positional quality. in a month it will have moved on to late afternoon early evening. Look up GPS almanac on the web - its how we can predict satellite coverage.

I noticed my 205 took longer to lock today at around 1:30
