Hi,
I'm trying to find some decent footage from a handlebar mounted gopro, can anyone point me towards some vids?
Thanks,
hmmm
I've done some and it can look very vomit inducing if there is nothing to frame the shot.
I did some recently where the wheel & garmin were in shot and it was better (newer wider go-pro)
Thanks Mike, I see what you mean. It looks like the chest mount is the way forward.

A quick video of some of the better stuff I shot with a GoPro4 and the wider angles, it's a bit better.
It is better with the garmin and wheel in shot. I was thinking that something like this may work, but set with the gopro mount set towards the rider.

with everything along this route variety is the key, so being able to mix it up is good though it takes a lot longer. The footage above was a race so hard to mix it up really. those mounts (and the new K-Edge ones) look a lot better than the go pro one. I prefer the chest for a lot of stuff but it is sometimes hard to get rid of trail shake with it. The wider angles on the new ones make helmet mounting a lot better too as you can get more in and again avoiding the no frame of reference thing.
I think you're right, a lot of trial and error and mixing up the views to stop it becoming boring. I've found this site that has loads of different mounts too

Always good to get a close up...
The footage above was a race
๐ฏ I need to come to your races, I'd have a very good chance of a podium based on that clip... ๐
