I'm staying in Dorset next week and wondered if anyone can recommend any good routes? Probably nearer the coast,

Cheers

Purbeck is a good shout though staying further West at few places between Evershot (NW of Dorchester) and Branscombe (nr Axminster).

Some good tracks around Sidbury (north of Sidmouth), over Axminster way then.

quite 'bitty' in between i.e. lots of short sections of bridleway to join up.

Dunno if this advertising or not...
If you're down the Purbecks way, pop into the shop I work at in Wareham, Cyclexperience (BH20 4AS), we're up at the train station. Got a map and route advice we can loan you.

Singletracksurfer, what routes do you recommend around sidbury?
I've found a good run down through Core Copse (and some fun in the trees) that comes out near the hotel, but not much else. Some of the bridle ways from the farway road have too many gates and are a bit boggy. Have I missed the good stuff?
