I'm after a decent rear hub for my fixed/SS road bike,

I was thinking about a 90's style red Hope type, i'm sure they used to make these, maybe they did, maybe they didn't, either way it's not 1998 anymore.

I was hoping for something anodized but Royce, White Ind etc all seem to be a classy but plain jane polished silver?

I'm after something that can take a few years abuse on the daily commute, but polish up and look nice on the weekend training ride ๐Ÿ˜‰

Miche Primato or Formula. Both have easily replaced cartridge bearings - had them on my commuting fixie for 7 years (various wheels but always Miche or formula - wore the rims out with all the breaking)

Brick Lane Bikesย have a decent range of hubs, either the generic Formula / System EX / Ambrosio cartridge jobs, or their own design King hubs - only silver or black though. There's also Goldtec. The other option would be to get your hub shell of your choice stripped and re-anodised in your preferred colour - plenty of tips online.

Low flange Miche Primato on mine, Didn't want it to look like a hipster fixie. It's a fixed ROAD bike. Royce low flange would be my first choice for best fixed road bike though.

Miche track nuts rust over time.

another vote for Goldtec hubs here, had a rear one on my SS/Fixed CX bike for over ten years and it's seen some crap, if it's had a bearing change i can't remember

only in black or silver though, you could lace them with red nipples if you wanted that 1998 look, in a snowflake pattern

I've been using those Miche Primato hubs for commuting for a few years now. The rest of the wheel will wear out well before the hubs.
