I am going to Italy in May (Flying) and need a bag for my bike. Problem is I am touring for 7 days so I need a bag that I can carry with me or an idea of what to do with the bag when I get there. Flying in/ out of Pisa.

Any advice welcome.

Thanks

Can you not leave bike bag in left luggage? Or find local bike shop in Pisa who will store a bike box for when you return, use one from UK and bin it on arrival??

Stash it somewhere? I once hid a bike bag in a salt-bin just outside Stornoway airport. It was June mind, so probably wasn't going to get used. Would have caused a major problem if it wasn't there when I returned, though.

any decent bike bag you buy is gonna weigh at least 7 kg on its own and be big square thing so theres no chance of touring with it. pay for a locker in the nearest train station should be big enough for your bike bag, better than logging it round and plus your bike will be safe in there why'll your travelling, get a decent one because them air port workers chuck them round, bubble wrap the lot ha
