Hi,

Just been cleaning my wife’s ebike and noticed the chainstay protector tape is starting to peel off.

Any suggestions as to the best glue to use to stick it back.

Don’t really want to use anything that could damage the frame / take paint off should I ever need to remove the chainstay protector in the future.

Ta.

Think I'd try hot, melty glue first

Is it a tape, or a rubber one? Tape isn't really easy to stick back, rubber/silicon I'd use shoe goo.

If its just the tape version chainstay as opposed the black plastic/rubber type, id just get a neoprene protector over the top...far better coverage

3m automotive trim tape, peel it off, clean all the old glue and stuff away first.

Thanks everyone for the info and feedback.

The chainstay protector is made of rubber so I think I’ll take a look at the Shoe Goo adhesive or using a cable tie.

My Bronson rubber chainstay guard is flapping aboot, I'll give spray glue a go before going full shoe glue.
