Who else is going to this on Saturday and Sunday? I'm well excited. The people at Alpine Bikes told me there's going to be over 300 bikes, more than last year!! And last year was excellent Can't wait.

Last time I went to a GT demo day I ended up unexpectedly buying a Soul I couldn't afford. Stay well away, that's my advice.

I have replaced it with a hardtail which I replaced with another replacement and then replaced that with another hardtail, then I got a Soda. So it's going well!

Did anyone go?

Conditions were awesome on Saturday despite the snow higher up. I had a nosey round the "paddock" but since I was already on my dream bike I didn't feel the need to demo anything 😉

Nipped in on sunday, after the rain- still windy though. Took out a Five 29er, which unexpectedly jumped like a mother****** but wasn't all that good at anything else, how very un-stereotypical. Crashed it on the bloomin road because it had piss-awful OEM Contis on, and now not sure how far that was holding it back for the rest of the ride. A £3000 bike with supermarket tyres ffs. Anyway... ChrisL took out a Tallboy and as far as I know has not yet bought one.

It seemed very quiet in the afternoon, was it busier on saturday? Some folks seemed to be packing up early.

We went on Saturday and it was very busy. Tried out 6 different bikes and my fav was the Trek fuel, didn't like the genesis bikes very much.. We stayed over night at the wigwams with the intention of going again the next day but with a night of being constantly awoken by gale force winds and waking up to torrential rain on Sunday, we sacked it and went home.

Ah that's good- would be a shame if they didn't get the turnout.
