I'm likely to ride to, then at this trail centre - it doesn't look too gnarly, I'll be OK on a rigid bike yeah?

The easy part would be no trouble, probably more fun, ISTR hearing there are chicken routes around the more difficult bits of the harder loop.

Ace caff btw.

I built my merlin up rigid and tried it round Glenlivet, was far quicker than on my 456. Didn't have any difficulty at all, and I'm rubbish at biking ๐Ÿ˜‰

You would be fine on a rigid , The black options are tamer than the GT red ones . It's a good wee centre though just don't expect to be blown away and you wont be disappointed.

rigid is fine, been round there three times now, all on rigid - & SS for extra points. couple of the drops are a bit unexpected and harsh on rigid, I'm not sure I'd enjoy it on drop barred rigid TBH Al. however see how you get on..

mate went round on his cross bike, managed fine but a bit harsh/tough and thought "why would you" really.

A rigid would be ideal for Glenlivet. There are only a few "features" that are tame enough for no suspension.

Rigid and drop bars will be useful for pedalling the down sections

geoffj - i'd agree - there's NOTHING there that demands suspension IMHO.

32c cross tyres on 700c or 29" would roll fast and sweet.

do it with a cross bike coz its the only fun you'll have on the trail-

its sad to see the downhillers pushing up the big rigs with helmets under the arms knowing what the downhill is like.

Anyone know if you can park a camper there overnight

Couple of camper vans parked up when I was there last year. Phone ahead and ask or if you are on FB they have a page.... ๐Ÿ’ก

As for the above comments I had bad leg cramp on the climb to the top and there were lots of people off and pushing. Those guys ^^^^^^^ are obviously in the " elite" stw riders club ๐Ÿ˜‰

I did it on my genesis fortitude and it was the ideal tool for the job imo

Also IIRC there is a wee car park on the right hand side of the dirt track up to the centre.
