I have tried crank bros candy, and mallet on my covert and my BFe. I really am not comfortable doing anything rough when clipped in. I feel a bit of failure, but I think I just need to accept that I can descend/jump etc without being clipped in.
So I am keeping the candys for my roadbike, but have partially used mallets 2 (no cleats) and a set of brand new unused mallet 2's with cleats, anyone want to swap them for two decent pairs of platforms? nano's or the like?
Don't feel a failure! Clips aren't for everyone. I hated them, much happier on flats. For that reason I'm not wanting your mallets though! 🙂
Thanks! I guess I just wanted to prove to myself I could do it, but they just sap my confidence.
I really wanted to master them, but it honestly was a terrible experience! I wanted to enjoy my riding at the end of the day, not hate it. Bought myself a pair of Nukeproof Neutrons and they're great.

could be interested in swapping a pair for my sunline v1 pedals - pic below. good nick but missing a couple of pins as they were on my dh bike (not that the meat tenderizer grip pattern doesn't provide enough grip anyway!)

I am in the other camp - I can't imagine doing anything 'rough' [b][i]not[/i][/b] clipped in.
Wouldn't it be a dull world if we were all the same.
higgo, I wish I was , I can see why they are better, but something in the back of my head gives me the fear. I really want/wanted to beat it.
