My parents have just purchased a couple of electric assist bikes (not my idea of a nice ride) but I'm pleased that they are getting some exercise.
Can anyone come up with some suggestions for bike related gifts, err let me rephrase that, cheap bike related gifts ๐
Cheap:
Track pump? Tool kit?
More money:
Jacket? Brooks saddle?
Bag of Werthers.
A helmet, 'old' people never appear to wear helmets.
Airhorn? Woven basket?
mirror
ergon grips
plastic flat pedals
bike shorts-liners
clickfix handlebar mount something
lights
some bmx dvds
well you picked the perfect forum to ask! everyone here seems to be over 30 and for some reason, probably against their doctors advice, still ride bikes ๐ฏ
bike covers if they're storing them outside?
vouchers for servicing at the LBS?
giant hats to fit over their helmets?
stem captain

does being over 30 mean you are an OAP?
if so, that is excellent - I can retire!
according to my nieces anyone over 6 is old. i'm not arguing with them again, learnt my lesson last time!
Mirrors as, if they are OAPs, they might have restricted movement and feel nervous glancing round to see what's behind them before manouvering.
puncture proof tyres and/or slimed tubes.
good lights - maybe some that go on the wheels for side visibility.
Some great ideas there thanks for your inputs ๐
stabilizers
Lunch vouchers at a nice country pub 10 miles away.
Waterproof socks/gloves or buffs to keep them wanting to go out in slightly crappy weather.
suspension seatpost with colostomy bag hanger?
