How tough is the anthem or anthem x?

Just thinking the anthem x with a work 2 degree headset and offset bushes would be a perfect bike with 130mm forks

is this stupid?

probably.

I've been thinking about slackening mine off since i got it. My main sticking point is that it's a whole load of fun just with a 120mm fork on it already, would i really gain much from making it slacker other than making it rubbish for climbing??

my thinking is a longer fork up front on the downs and wound down it would leave the geo good for climbing

Rode an anthem x at a demo on sat

Bloody fast bike, way more stable than it deserves to be , great fun
Would a trance not be a better choice if you're after more travel / slacker

I'm looking after a 2011 trance x2 for a mate and really enjoying it
Much better than my stumpjumper

Does need a 140 fork tho ๐Ÿ˜‰

A u-turn fork might do the job, the only thing then is that I assume you'll be putting a short stem on too so climbing will still be fairly compromised. Can't have em all though I suppose
