2013 Giant Anthem X 29er.
I can't figure out if the bottom bracket should use a spacer or not. I don't have the original to check. Guys in the giant store were spilt, some think it needs the spacer drive side others didn't. I don't have a BB remover tool so have one chance to get it right
Frame is exactly 89.5mm, spacer is 2.5mm. I have a shimano press fit BB 92mm.
This frame is identical and says "accepts a BB92 press fit bottom bracket", So I assume you do put a 2.5mm spacer drive side ?

I think so . I know a hope one will not fit due to step down in centre of the bb .
anyone else have an anthem they could check ?

Iv'e got a 2012 Anthem with a PF BB and it has a spacer on the drive side.
I am just doing this job on a '13 Trance which has the same bb shell and yes you need a 2.5 spacer on the drive side
