For those with experience of these things, what is the best way to get an e-mountain bike from the UK to Europe for a tour?

Airlines won’t accept e-bikes.
Eurostar either require the bike to be bagged or have silly size limits on fully assembled bikes, which means carrying a bike bag.

Is it by ferry, or the Eurotunnel shuttle service?

Anyone with any experience of this?

Trying the Bikeexpress (bus with a trailer) in September for the first time - getting off at Rheims .  It carries on South much further. Otherwise ferry from Hull - if up north.
