Keep thinking about getting a rigid fork for the hardtail I commute on. Suspension forks with zero maintenance, varying levels of abuse, mud/dust/salty-sea-air, and daily commutes don't work that well together.
Want to replace RockShox Recon Gold RL, 100mm travel, 9mm QR, 1 1/8 steerer, disc brakes. Axel To Crown roughly measured at 47cm while locked in shed in the dark.
Looking at the eXotic forks with an AtoC of 46.5cm but don't like the price! Want to pay less. I know that AtoC says for 29er, but the current head angle is steep enough as it is.
Any other forks out there I should take a look at?
I run a Hylix 700c carbon disk fork just fine on my Genesis io
The On One carbon fork has straight steerer option and QR. 450 or 470 a-c. I runthe 470 tapered one on my 456 Evo carbon and love it. Better fork than the Reynolds one on my Swift. Absorbs more buzz and trail noise. About £100 at the moment with 25% off, its properly in sale and a bargain.
