Have been thinking about new forks (Fox 140 Talas), however funds are a bit tight so have been thinking to get a bit more 'umph out of my current Pikes by getting them TFT Tuned

I mainly ride trails, 4x, dual, light downhill and a bit of xc - so would Push tuning be worth getting done too?

Anyone who's had it done and has some experience care to share your thoughts?

Yes great upgrade makes them more controlled when going quick, seem to absorb the continuos rough stuff with out getting all bogged down, I had them on my Heckler with a PUSH'd DHX-5 springs both ends great feel.

Not sure but can you change the rebound for a blackbox one?

May also be worth an email to Si at Loco Tuning if it is a service/upgrade that you are looking at. At worst it's a second oppinion, at best it is a better quote.

This. I'm not going to re hash the blurb about them but adding the new piston head and shim stack makes a massive difference. Like Jeffus I found mine suffering when plowing through rock gardens as the simple damper couldn't handle the varying sized hits coming at them at speed.

Plus you may find the TALAS a bit floppy compared to the ultra stiff chassis of the Pikes and a bit more stubborn over little bumps.

As a cheaper option, worth looking into the Blackbox/Dual Flow damper if it's possible as this will achieve a similar effect.
