I need/want to re-cable 3 bikes which are a mix or full outer runs and the other type (split run?)
I want some decent cable outer and just in basic black.
What is the best stuff to buy and the best way to buy it, e.g. a roll or by the meter.

+1 cheapest SP41 is good.
Parkers used to be cheap but they were closing down last time I looked.

Get some Shimano sealed ferrules to go with the SP41 and some middleburn cable oilers.
