After one too many knocks and bumps the official Garmin mount on my Vista HCx has given up the ghost - the screw on the clip part no longer holds in the thread on the back of the GPS. Anybody used any other mounting systems for theirs?? I had to resort to some exotic cable-tie based trail-side bodgery at the weekend...
I wish they did a stem mount. The official mounting thing I've had to use sellotape or blutac to stop it rattling around. Bit poor, so would love to see a better way!
I don't have a link but I think there's a RAM mount that will go on the stem, only thing is it looked to sit quite high.
Mine broke and Garmin UK replaced it - I don't think you can buy them - so worth contacting them if the bar mount itself is still OK
patentlywill - thanks for the tip! I've contacted garmin & they're going to send replacements.
