Hi All, I have a 735XT (that has been replaced once already)
It has decided (or the pc) to not connect so I cant talk to the garmin apps.
pc says the garmin has malfunctioned and the garmin sits there stupidly.
anyone had this and fixed it or do I give up?
sadly got made redundant so no chance of buying another so I'd like to fix it.
cheers forum gurus, over to you........
There's basically three things that can go wrong here: the Garmin, the cable, the PC. You just need to find which one it is.
Try a different cable. Then see if you can try it on a different machine.
Tried a different pc, haven't got a spare cable. Shout out to people with one near Reading 🙂
Will it not connect via bluetooth to your phone? when mine goes awol, you have to remove everything, the device from connect app, the phones bluetooth memory of it, and start from scratch again.
Had something similar on my 310xt, there are a button combinations to do "factory" resets.
Soft reset - lap and mode buttons
Hard reset - mode and power buttons
master reset - lap and power buttons
you need to press them at the same time for a few seconds
Might be different for yours, google it.
That's annoying. It used to be fatal (my 305 did it). But it's not any more - you never need to connect a 735XT to the pc anyway. Rather than wasting any more time faffing with cables, restarts, drivers etc, just stop connecting it to the pc.
