Just ordered an edge 500 and waiting for it to arrive. The only issue I never addressed when choosing, is what the minimum stem length is I can use the stem mount on. I have a 70mm Thomson , and looking at it it may get in the way. Oops

I've got mine mounted on a 70mm Thomson. It won't go along the main shaft of the stem but fits over the top of the bar clamp and holds fine.

I mount mine same as Matthew, only issue I have had was time when I had a longer steerer with the spacers on top of the (50mm) stem and it got in the way. You can get away with probably 1x 2.5mm spacer on top of the stem, anything else will get in the way.

You can just stick it on your bars if needs be, the mounts work both ways around.

The mounts need more space than the old edge 05 series ones.
I can't fit the mount on the stem on my hard tail, and I think that is a 70mm one, but not certain.
I put it on the top tube instead.
