It cant just be me surely. Apparently I was in Bornholm yesterday and Belarus today. And I speak French. No sign of Peebles anywhere from the last week!
Anyone else been travelling that they weren't aware of?
Last night when i uploaded a ride it appeared on some Dutch persons account (everything else was as normal) Seems to be ok now though.
Seems to be ok now though
mmm - Half an hour ago I uploaded the last weeks stuff and I've been everywhere except where I've actually been (if you know what I mean).
I did see the notice on the site - but that seems to imply it's fixed.
It's regularly arsed up for me, it's hit and miss whether I can get on it and the map thing is incredibly slow because rather than defaulting to nothing it defaults to a random place in Mexico, so has to pull up loads of tracks that no one has any interest in.
They changed the site, it looked better, but now there's a notice saying it was rubbish so they've reverted back, except nothing works now!
Like the 'in depth' manual that comes with each GPS unit, Garmin just relishes easily understandible and intuative design
Quite shocking how free software such as Google Earth or Bike Toaster just pisses all over the so-called professional programs
Their 1/50 OS mappage is down right backward compared to Google Earth IMHO. BaseCamp and Connect are no different ๐
That explains it. Downloaded my ride home from work the other day and it showed me an 8km run around Le Mans that happened whilst I was in the office, was a bit confused by it!
Yeah Garmin updated their software and screwed it up, no surprise there! Their devs and change managers should get the chop it happens nearly every time, whether it's firmware, Training Center or the web-site.
I blame the logo.
There looked to be some nice new additions to Connect before they pulled the update though...defined training sessions and a course generator (although the latter looked a bit basic). I've tried most of the similar online sites & keep coming back to Connect just because it's generally quite simple to use & easy to share stuff. Definitely has lots more potential though.
