My unit won't backlight any more even though the option is ticked in the menu. The backlight works as its possible to turn it on as a result of going through the screen choice menus.
Is it just one of those cute things that happens or is it worth contacting Garmin?

If the backlight still works which you say it does could be a bug. I had an issue with mine and re flashed it. BAsically google factory reset or something like that.
Will have a look later today if your struggling.
