Probably already answered but honestly can't find it if it has been.
Just bought a 7120 brake set with 7100 EV levers. My shifters are 11sp i-Spec 1, SLX. My understanding is that they simply aren't compatible with EV and no adaptors are available.
Rear mech/cassette is also 11sp SLX.
7100 shifters are 12 speed so no good to me. What's my best bet for an EV compatible 11sp shifter? TIA.
Can you post up pics so we can see which one is what? I have adapters to mount STI pods to iSpec levers from a while back; several people on here helped me, so I'll pay forward and pop some in the post if you (or anyone else, for that matter) needs them.
Thanks, I'll get some pics up in the morning. The more I read the more confused I get 😂
After muuuuch research, the simplest thing seems to be M9000 XTR 11sp shifter, bar mount. Either that or a 12sp upgrade but even then I can't get a 12sp rear mech for love nor money.
Bent Udder, doesn't look like your mount will work but many thanks for the offer.
You can get bar mount SLX and XT 11 speed shifters too - doesn’t have to be XTR if you want to save cash?
Do you know which models they'd be? Happy to save a few quid but haven't come across them anywhere (without the stupid gear indicators on, anyway)
I-Spec B lever for 20?

Don't think that fits with an EV lever?
Bar mount SLX and XT have gear indicators - you can remove them. Can't say gear indicators bother me though, and you'll never run the BLM7100 inboard of the shifter due to where it bands on, so shouldn't cause any mounting option issues.
Friends don't let friends do i-spec.
I spec ii (2) shifters are compatible with I spec EV brakes - see here I spec EV fun
(Also (as having just bought one) the Hope I spec adaptor for the Tech 3 brake levers fits both I spec EV & ii shifters, in the same way, the 'T' nut or whatever it is that is used with the sfifter)
EDIT - sorry I see the OP has SLX I spec ii, they won't work, what I stated only applies to XT & XTR 🙁
Thanks guys for all the help., much appreicated. Sourced an M7000 SLX bar-mount for the princely sum of £25, so the XTR shifter can go straight back in the post.
Had no idea that the shift indicator was removable...
The part no for the official blanking plate is Y06M98070.
Only about £3 and any shop can order it post free from Madison for you.
Alternatively, there is Gorilla tape.....
