Anyone have any experience of these pedals - did you stick with the longer pins or swap them for the smaller alternative ?

Are they the ones with e grip tape in the middle?

I think my mate had some years ago, from what I remember they werent too bad.

May aswell just buy superstar pedals nowadays though.

Have you got some? They are ok, but there are much better, lighter, cheaper options with lower profile, ie superstar nano.

They are - they're arriving tomorrow.

I've had some bad experiences with Superstar products, although to be fair I've never tried their pedals.

Cheers David, thanks Bagstard

i've got some - the cartridge bearing type.

I think they're great coming from Easton Flatboys and well suited to those with big feet wanting a larger platform

they're a bit on the chunky side with thin pins. So prepare to have the pins ripped out on roots.
nano's are a much better pedal

I've had a pair for about 7 years that i swap between my xc and dh bike, which tells you they are robust! they are the cartridge bearing ones with the standard pins in them and yes they are chunky but they are VERY grippy and very strong. Mine are battered externally but spin freely and GRIP! All i have to do to them is replace a couple of pins and repack some grease into the bearings about two years ago.

So they get a thumbs up from me

Yes, I've had them for a few years ... together with the scars to prove it! Sealed bearings mean zero maintenance. 8)

They're used on my singlespeed, OK they're heavy but plenty of room for my 5:10s to sit on and oh so grippy. Considerably cheaper than the Straitlines on t'other bikes.
