Are you going to run the tyres tubeless so you can get away with lower pressures? 😉

How long would it take to pump up that front tire with a mini-pump?? A week? lol

Also, what does that tire cost and weigh?!

The reason the manufacturer won't drill them is that it will significantly increase the cost.

Looks good - I'd be interested to hear how you get on with them.

With a bulk purchase of femidoms you could probably run tubeless... 😯

Wheels now built.

Just waiting for some reflective stuff to use as a rimtape.

Thanks bull & b the holes are now smoother than a very smooth thing.

I'll drop your tool back to the one with the girls hair.

Yep built up by Baz.

Been out for a quick spin on it and it's not collapsed yet. 😉

😆 It does pull a bit of power out of your drill.

What you want is a comressor and use the blowgun to cool the drill doon. 😉

Oh and if you've got a Henry hoover run that aswell and use it to suck up the swarf as you drill.

Hose between legs drill in hands. 😯

Yeah I should have laid off the wine eh?

I was holding it between my knees too, only 2 drill/jeans incidents, not much blood, different technique now 😮

The drill thing was really odd, too hot to hold and only cooled down once I unplugged it.

Please tell me you didn't drill through the joint in the rim in your wine/burnt drill fumes haze. 😛

I wouldn't risk drilling the joint.

looks like you could have done with a faster drill. 😉

I was waiting for it to cool down!

the joint is pinned at the walls so I feel ok drilling it.

It'll be out of balance though as it's not drilled at the valve hole. 😛

Maybe you could take it to Tyres R Us and they can put some counterbalance weight on for you. 😆

You should really stop it, I want one of those soooo much and the local shop (Swords, co. Dublin for the Eire-based) wants:
120 Euro - a rim
3 Euro - a spoke
2 hrs of labour a 50 Euro per hour
so with a 32h wheel the total is....300+ Euro.
Makes me wonder 😐

Think I'll just drill at the valce hole, although I reckon with 2+kg of weight at the rim, 12gm won't make a huge difference at the speeds I'll be doing 😉

HC here was my deal: Rims £50, spokes £11, DIY build - all mail order retail prices available to you.
