I've got a No Fear Prime II Evo full face that I bought last year from CRC.
Unfortunately it's developed a minor fault - the chip strap is one which uses a popper to secure it & one half of the popper has come away.
So normally I'd contact CRC & get it returned/replaced.
However I think the poppers they use for the helmet are pretty poor (they're made of plastic) & this one came off pretty easily after using the helmet only a handful of times.
So I'm considering whether I can fit a better metal popper in its place - anyone have any thoughts on how I can go about doing this?
Can you just take it somewhere like Timpsons? Or, if the strap's long enough, you could get one of the double d-rings that most decent helmets have - it's what I did with my 661 Evo.
Arnt the poppers just to stop the strap from flapping about? I never bother to do mine up.
As for the double D's I cant stand the things way too fiddly to do up when you have gloves on.
