SLRs are the better of the two but not THE best.

Oooooh, too many options but try looking at just riding along for ideas.
I still like stans on American classic rims for Xc. Industry 9 are really nice but parts can be hard to find.
I don't like criss king hubs but people rate them, combined with stans rims.
Good old stand with hope, again I don't like them but people rate hope hubs.

My money would go on dt Swiss 240 hubs with a stans rim of some sort.

I ride SLRs on my scalpel. I still really like them with the lefty.
