right then, a grown bloke is supposed to consume 2550 calories a day.

if you were to eat this in 1 foodstuff, what would that food be?

also, what foodstuff is the optimum fuel for cycling?

Battered Dripping in chocolate sauce, with pork scratching on the side...

And a green salad as a starter.

Optimum food for cycling is chips and beer I think. Something to do with carbohyrogenatedproteins.

Fruit, Carbs, Fat, Protein (probably at least a bit in the milk in the chocolate) - what's not to like?

Oats are meant to be good as a slow release energy food item so I suppose a good flapjack recipe could be a goer perhaps

I thought there was hardly any fat in Jaffa Cakes?

edit: according to their site only 1g of fat - needs a bit more lard surely?

I still struggle to see how I need as much food as you.

I only have 1/2 the capacity to fill. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Pies and beer sound a good start though, you could always try to meet the 2550 calories the Vegan way, ain't that right Junkyard?

In Sleaford in Lincolnshire some 16 years ago, I discovered the perfect food. Kebab meat pizza. It contains the major food groups - those being kebab, saturated fats and pizza - in almost perfect ratios. It is the food of champions.

Oh - Basal Metabolic Rate might give people the specifics for their own calorific requirements:

Hmmm i did a little riding fuel experiment on Tues at Glyncorrwg's skyline cafe, post a ride of White's level i opted for an all day breakfast - fried eggs, black pudding, bacon, sausages etc as well as a cup of coffee, a lucozade and a massive slice of rocky road cake, then as my mates headed back to the van to pack up i decided to head straight up White's climb again to do the Skline shortcut.
Amazingly i was only sick in my mouth about every 10 yards but didn't waste a drop lol. Think next time i'll have a cider instead of lucozade just to further enhance the experience and maybe leave it 5 mins longer before i head back out for a ride!
Think i missed my calling as a sports nutritionist ๐Ÿ˜€
