[Closed] FSA Orbit Z...is this right? (with pics)

Just fitted a new FSA Orbit internal headset. Cups are properly seated and everything running real smooth...but i'm not sure if I've fitted right. Looks like there is too much space at the bottom. There were no rings or seals for the bottom.

You can see the crown race (gold)

Bearing cartridges upsidedown ? Correct Crown race?

Doesn't look right - have you put the bearings in wrong way round?

def not right you shouldnt see any of the assembly check the bottom bearing

cheers folks

The Crown Race was the split one that came with the headset so i imagine it's the right one.

I'll take it apart again this evening to check the bearings.

I don't have an outer seal on the lower cup on mine either. Isn't that gold thing supposed to go under the stem?
Crown race is silver on mine

Can't quite tell, but looks like you're using the compression ring as the crown race

Compression ring goes under the FSA cap, against the bearing, you need to swap those two when you assemble it!
