XL11 for me, i've never felt the need to try anything else, have them on two bikes, they turn and seem to last forever. I bought some spare bearings a year or so back, expecting to fit them, put a bit of grease in instead and its still going.

At 16 quid of Ebay XL-II's were the ones for me.

My Pro extreme has just died and been replaced today. It was only 12 years old. Shocking really!! ( I say replaced, just removed until I can get some new bearings for it.)

I've got an xl2 on one bike and an orbit extreme on the other. I can say, that they are both very functional and gonna stay being very good h/sets for quite a while! get am xl2 and be done with it!

edit: nothing special about the Extreme, that I can tell anyway. Just looks fatter.

Extreme Pro's were £15 from On one not so long ago.

I've had one for 3 years with no probs but an XL2 lasted me 9 months.

From my experience... with a regrease every 6 months or so.

XL2 = 1 to 2 years
MX = 2 to 3 years
Extreme and pro = 5+ years
