I fitted my front mech with new cables etc. when I replaced the cranks, rear mech and shifters but can't set it up properly. I can get it into the top to rings on the cranks but it's no where near getting into the small ring. Youtube videos don't help so what could be my problem?

cheers

What mech, what chainset, what BB? Some combinations are incompatible.

as above. need to know what you took off and what youve fitted. but it will probably be down to adjusting the limit screws.

did the mech come with instructions? im sure that the M961 is for a non compact (26/36/48 or similar) chainset, and the chainset you have is compact. if it is indeed for non compact (22/32/44 tooth), then it wont work cause its designed to work with a larger chainset. the instructions will clear that up. if the limit screws dont adjust enough, its the only thing i can think of.
