Was just looking on the Mondraker site and they have a new classification of riding it seems.
that ones been round for a while. look at forks they have been harping on about that for a while. the mondrakers are pretty cool mind. we did have a prayer in with a very dodgy job on the steering tube though. looked like it had been chewed through. go freeride extreme.
Ah clearly I'm not keeping up with the kidz.
Not had any in our shop yet but they do look very nice, I think my style is more Pootling Mundane anyway.....
you got to give the road gap a go for sure? id go for the dune i think, but my alpine 160 would get the hump.
Already over compensating for something with my Felt but if I was looking then a Dune XR would be a nice little thing to have, thankfully I don't have the room and the wife would get that look in her eye.
joemetcalfm, what are your thoughts on the new prayer? a friend is thinking of getting one and i don't want him picking up anything that ain't too good.
we have had both models in they look good. i know both the guys that have got them and we two happy customers. i would go for the r with the better group set and the hammershmit. its a 4 bar linkage so tried and tested. the only thing that would worry me is the own brand hubs. they look great but i havnt had to try and find parts for them yet. silverfish are very good though. breaks are a nice touch. they r comes in crimbo colours and the standard is a bit captain america! id whip those forks off and stick a van 36 on there. waffle waffle waffle waffle. all in all good value freeride bike. but is it extreme?
oh and akira im still trying to work out how to tell my wife about the mountain cycle im building up. pictures on the way as soon as shes finished (the bike that is) im so going to get the 'look'
