I have a free weekend, I want to do a two nighter. So my plan is to go Friday somewhere ride Friday, Saturday and Sunday. My obvious choice is Wales, but I have done the majority of them before - done llandegla, coedy, Mach x. I want some nice freeride stuff to do but both revolution and bike park wales are full so I need some other options, I don't really want to go to Scotland or chicksands I know throwing random locations in, but Iv done them not to death but done them a few times. So where's left that I could go, I don't mind travelling a little between. Is there anything anyone can through into the mixer.......

you're in the same position to me. I was sposed to go away on friday for 2 nights to the lakes but my cycling mate bust his toe on a log in cannock last friday so he's cried off. I live between stoke and stafford so my current plan is to drive and do the monkey at dawn on saturday, then drive to church stretton and do 2 ups the long mynd then cycle up the wrekin on the way home. My orginal plan was to drive and do coedybrenin, camp saturday night and do degla ont way home.

The best answer is, cycle somewhere you haven't been before!
The peaks (white/dark) tons of stuff round castleton/hope, the lakes... my plan for the saturday was to do the lonscale fell route and then up skiddaw to come down ullock but Helvellyn is an awesome and epic a ride as you'll get, plus the chance to sample some really nice freshwater swimming in Ullswater after you finish.
You didn't say where you live? you could get the train somewhere and spend 2 days getting back, travel light and book a cheapo guest house. Spur of the moment plans are always the best. Anyway,,,, have fun.

I'm in shropshire, and really fancy something different. Completely random but is there anything on the Isle of Man?

Afan is really good, some new bits there too. Do that and Cwmcarn on the way back which also has some new bits.
Both places have freeride bike park dh type stuff too.
