M8 has been riding a older raleigh bike for a while, and has been asking lately about getting a newer/lighter frame.
So I'm not sure what to suggest, as he doesn't have a lot of disposable income, he's looking for something lighter & disc capable.

What would anyone recommend? The merlin Malt 4 looks a good starting point, but as I graduated to a full susser 6months after starting, I've no experience of (ali) hardtails, except my inbred which I think the weight would put him off.
I've had a flick on ebay at some Carrera's but the seller or buyer are living in a different world to the one I do...

(quite happy to be offered 2nd hand frames, needs to 17" or around there)

I bought a brand neww Carrera frame off the bay for my wife for £35 it was a cracking frame for that, with some great details on it as good as anything for up to £150.

Check this thread out, this Boardman frame looks great too, and guess its for sale going on the thread.
