Hi,

Please see the picture, to fit a new top mount kit, is that the bush I can see in the hole that needs to be pushed out or is it an integral part of the shock that I'm going to knacker if I remove it. If I do need to drift it out, anyone have a good idea of how to do it without going shopping for the tools? ie, how to hold the shock so I don't put too mcu pressure on it. Thanks

Yes that's the eyelet bush (and as I'm sure you know it's knackered ๐Ÿ˜‰ ) you'll need a bush tool to press it out.

That very worn thing looks like a bush.

you can get a tool from BETD for 25 quid-ish or cheaper ones from ebay.

alternatively a socket/ metal rod of the right size can be used to drift it out.

The BETD tool is great, you can use a vice to push bushings in and out or if a good sized rock is all you've got that will work too.
