Hi folks.
I'm servicing my Blur LT and swapping the frame bearings. I've got the proper bearing press and its all been pretty straight forward apart from the upper link bearings.
The Ti Link was held in the bearings with two chain ring bolts. The bolts undid no problem but one half of the chain ring bolt (the sleeve bit) is siezed inside the bearing.
Its well and truly stuck and I can't press out the bearing (which would be the obvious solution because the tool won't fit through the bearing with the bit of chain ring bolt stuck in there.
Should I just try and drill the bit of chain ring bolt out?
Richard, take it down to sprockets cycles in Kilmarnock, Santa cruz dealers and all round good guys.
Greg.
Thanks Greg,
The drill triumphed in the end. Just don't ask me about pressing in the bearings from the wrong side!
