Trying to find the maximum shock pressure for my 2021 Fox DPX2 Rear Shock. I see some places say 300psi and others say 350psi.
Im on the heavy side (at the moment) and wondered which was the maximum as jar it set a 280psi and feel I could put in a touch more but not sure how far I can go.
Sorry, can't help with your specific question but:
I've got a 2021 X2 which is constantly bottoming out no matter the conditions (I'm about 82 kilos with riding kit). I've tried putting more air in and playing with compression and rebound but to no avail. This seems to be a common issue with this era of Fox shocks.
I've just ordered volume spacers, which will hopefully arrive before the weekend.ย
I thought it was 300, I had one on my Banshee Prime and I was right up at the top end to get the sag at the right level (Banshees are fussy about that).ย It was a bit of a battle with a normal shock pump to get it that high.
With the factory fitted spacers I was struggling to get an acceptable amount of travel, so had to add air volume (ie remove spacers) and then it was bang on.
With a X2 fitted and it's bigger air can,ย I can use a lower pressure and everything feels a bit less rampy.
I'm a bit of a unit at 100kg in my pants which colours my experience of shocks (and bikes in general) markedly.
