In inbetween vehicles and got a temporary car without a towbar (or chance of getting one) so i'm currently taking the front wheel off to get the bike in.
My fox 36 have a bolt through axle with a 2nd pinch bolt which is a bit of a faff.
I see you can buy a QR axle and a hardware kit that is basically a internal sleve and a different washer for the pinch bolt to hold it in.
I assume that once the sleve is in and the pinch bolt is done up the axle comes out independantly?
ie you don't need to undo the pinch bold every time you remove the axle? otherwise i'll not bother.
thanks.
Correct.
thank you.
wonder if that would work as a cheaper option (as opposed to the £60 fox one)
Once i have my own car i'll switch back to the bolt through.
@pat12 I have a QR fox axle from my 38's. Let me check it's compatible and you can have it.
The pinch bolt and washer are long gone, but you're welcome to it. The axle will save you a few quid if you buy the bolt separately.
Edit: fully compatible. I also have the collar you'll need in the fork. Drop me a DM and I can get it in the post to you tomorrow.
Unless you're close to Leeds, then I can drop off.
Amazing thank you!! DM sent.
