Hi, I'm away for a bit and have 2003 ( I think) fox talas rlc on my bike

 The 80-125mm ones.

They were a bit odd, only getting part travel. After some pumping and as deflating they now suck down to 0 travel after a few pushes.

I've tried

-pumping it up.loads and cycling the fork

-spinning the dials for max lock out

- swearing

I have a multi tool, shock pump and pair of pliers with me.

Obviously the anwer is a full rebuild. But is there any quick bodge so I don't have to ride them about at 0mm travel for the best few days?

Thanks 😃

I hate to break it to you, but the rubber O-Rings and the seals inside suspension forks perish with age and use (and by age and use, I mean a year or two or "normal" riding typically), hence they need regular servicing...

I don't think there's anything that can be done on a 23yr old fork without involving a full overhaul, and that's even if you can get all the spares for it still, which I highly doubt!

Best of luck... But I don't think it's going to be a quick fix...

Thanks 😃

I was buying oil and watching service videos for the forks before coming away. They seemed fine in the garage😃

I was hoping for.some secret press down while pumping or some other secret that's not on the web to do another 10 miles or so.
