Hi,
Provided the top cap is tight in the crown the only way oil can escape once the lockout lever and compresion adjusters are off is if the central lockout adjuster (the bit that the lockout lever turns)gets unscrewed. So i'm geussing that you've undone this hexigon type part too far and then pushed down on the fork making oil come out?
You need to screw the hexagonal lockout nut fully clockwise until it stops and then back it off half a turn. This will now be set in the 'open' setting. The lockout lever should then sit over it and be in the '12 O'clock' position.
Not too easy to explain here but here's a link to the fox service guide which might help
