[Closed] Fox 32 float oil from air valve?

Hi all,

I'm just having a play with the setup of my Fox 32 Float RL 140's and wondered if it is normal for oil to exit through the air valve on the top of the left leg?

I'm concerned that I'm not getting full travel on the forks, so I thought I'd let all the air out to see if they drop all the way. At the moment, all air is out and now only oil is coming out the valve, but there is still 40mm of stanchion visible. Does this mean that there is too much oil in there?

Also, how do I fill the air chamber back up with oil if this is the case?

its just a bit of float fluid they stick in to lube the chamber (about 5ml i think)

its nowt to worry about,

as for travel just use a zip tie around a stanchion (not too tight)
pump some air back in and measure the travel of the zip tie up the stanchion after compressing them fully

You wont get 140mm of travel and what you describe is exactly the same as mine.
Don't worry, be happy!

Turns out that oil had managed to leak into the air chamber! This was basically stopping the full travel of the fork.

I removed the oil, then topped everything back up to the stated amounts and hey presto, beautifully smooth forks at full travel!

It also turns out that there is a new seal that replaces the foam ring on the air chamber seal. As mine are under warranty, Mojo are sending me one out!! ๐Ÿ˜€

Yep, the foam ring on the air piston is replaced with a 'scraper' ringer, am replacing these at time of service.
As above if under 12 months old give Mojo a shout ๐Ÿ˜€

Mine do the same thing, lower oil somehow moves into the air chamber. Found during servicing if I didn't pressurise the air chamber before putting the lowers oil in then it just flowed through. Some still works its way through during use now but takes a little longer.

Interesting about the new seal, I will see if I can get hold of one as it should stop it for me.
