Swinging by there for a quick razz before BPW on Thursday. Got Trailforks, and there seems to be a fair old bit there. To save casting about in the inevitable rain, are there any particular trails we should head for/avoid, STW Hive Mind? We’re a pretty capable bunch, and the techier/jumpier, the better. TIA!

It's had some rework since I was last there but I could ride sheepskull, flatlands, corkscrew and ski run from the road down, all day every day. All easy to find and follow and come right off the uplift road. GBU gives you more jumps. If the uplift's on, imo it's totally worth it, it's only a tiny little hill but the uplift is super fast on public roads so you can get an absolute ton of runs in. Whereas riding up the main return road is pretty draggy unless on an ebike.

The trailcentre parts are perfectly fine but the sallowvallets trails are probably going to suit you better. There's millions of trails in the fod but on a flying visit the accessability of sallowvallets is a winner.

If you want quick, simple and fun. Park at pedalabikeaway car park. It'll be quiet on a Wednesday. We were there today, it's very wet but all good.

As above. If you've not been before and your preference is tech and jumps then I'd recommend parking at the Cycle Centre (used to be called pedalabikeaway) and riding the marked DH trails. You can lap 3 to 4 out per hour top to bottom. Sheep Skull and GBU are my favourites. They still ride well in the wet, you won't get lost and there's a cafe there as well.

The marked blue and red are not great IMO, but the DH runs mentioned are a lot of fun, just tiring if you are pedalling / pushing up after each run 😂

Super time had by all. A proper tidy little venue. (And it didn’t pish it down like it did today at BPW.) Cheers guys!

I could ride the blue downhills all day, super fast and fun. They remind me a bit of GT when it was new and fresh.

The push up isn't bad either, probably because it's quite steep but rideable, it feels like you spend a long time descending for the relative climb, whereas some places feel like you spent all day pushing up to ride downhill for just a few minutes. Still need to do it on an uplift day.
